Purpose of the Job:

The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing all marketing activities related to shopper and consumer engagement with all the sales channels and trade of the organization. Working in close coordination with the brand, sales and marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trade activation plans for all markets based on brand guidelines.
  •  Planning of consumer promotions with Brand Manager’s.
  •  Align with finance on all promotional costing based on annual budgets & quarterly approval.
  •  Analysis of all consumer promotions by brand.
  • Coordinate with distributors to ensure all trade activation are executed as per plan.
  • Keeping a track of category growth and brand share by channel & region.
  • Developing planogram for the retailers in coordination with sales add merchandising team
  • Update and review MSL (Must Stock List) for key markets.
  • Develop sales presenters and roadshows for partners and sales teams
  • Responsible for all POS material production and design
  • Ensure outlet branding and outdoor branding are implemented as per brand guidelines
  • Support Brand and sales team in all new product launches.
  • Ensuring all trade marketing spends are within the approved budgets & the targeted sales is achieved.
  • Pre & Post Trade Activations - ROI Evaluation, IMS Figures & Trade Feedback

Professional Qualification

Relevant Master’s Degree in Marketing | Reputed University.


  1. Minimum 5 Yrs. in FMCG Industry in a trade marketing role.
  2. Experience of working with distributors & retailers
  3. Proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent understanding of Marketing and Retail Management with proven track record.
  • Creativity with strong Management skills.

  • Regional Sales Manager responsible for the distributor and customer acquisition and also responsible for sales growth and achieve the targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative.
  • Responsible for maximizing the sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those to plans to the upper management.


  • Provide support to individual distributor, stores; managers; and teams.
  • Determine long and short term sales goals.
  • Oversee product and supply ordering and shipment in accordance with regional needs.
  • Mentor managers and assistant managers.
  • Plan and execute training among staff members and management
  • Oversee sales and special promotions.
  • Provide leadership on hiring and employee retention
  • Resolve customer complaints and service issues
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
Educational Qualification
Relevant Master’s Degree in Marketing | Reputed University.

Professional Qualification
MBA - Marketing Management (Optional)

8 ‐ 15 years’ experience in FMCG /Rice Industry.

Certification / Training
Communication and Presentation skills.

  • Excellent understanding General Trade and Modern Trade with proven track record.
  • Distribution Channel skills.
  • Experience in Customer handling.
  • Experience in similar industry and in‐depth product knowledge.

IT Skills:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sale force software.
